We are engaged in research and education in the field of food chem. Our mission is to generate and disseminate familiarity with the molecular properties and interactions of key food components within the food matrix during industrial processing and digestion of foods best of all developing biochemical tools or even to boost the quality and good health of foods and food ingredients.
Some of the safest and most interesting science fair projects involve the foods we eat. Food chemistry projects have the advantage of using materials that are readily available and generally non-toxic. Here are some ideas for projects. Ponder ways you can explore questions related food and cooking. Use these questions to help trigger more food chem ideas.
What’s Food Chem
The German Research Institute for Food Chemistry (DFA) is a non-university research center based in Garching near Munich. Their research is of applied basic research in the subject associate of science in the field of food chem and food technology. The DFA is aiming to promote the science of Food Chemistry, ensuring public welfare and the maintenance and betterment of the quality of food.Another task of the DFA is to aquire data on food constituents based on scientific publications, to evaluate these data and to publish them in regularly updated nutrition tables. Also, DFA is advising the German Government on the part of new bills and legislation. The DFA should act as a consultant regarding international legal applications. What’s Food Chem?
